| December 26, 1999 - Davises of Salina celebrate 50th occasion Salinans Art and Elise Davis, 208 Indiana, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a 2 to 4 p.m. reception Sunday, Jan. 2 at the Salina VFW dinning room, 1108 W. Crawford. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts. Hosts for the occasion are the couple's children and their children's spouses: Jack and Cheryl Frain, Salina; and Art Jr. and Betty Davis, Bennington. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Art Davis and the former Elise Robbins were united in marriage Jan. 1,1950, at Cottonwood Falls. They have lived in Salina most of their married lives. He is retired from Dillons after 38 years. She is a retired registered nurse from St. John's Hospital and Dr. Raymond Freeman. |
